Short in stature? You're in luck.

Stella McCartney is celebrating 10 years of its famous platform sneaker, the Elyse.

While that’s far from proof the platform is seriously back on the style radar, given the shoe’s launch during the last go round of stacked heels back in the early 2010s, the fact it is being joined by plenty of other brands, is.

The appearance of Chloe’s 70’s-style wooden wedges on the feet of almost everyone in the front row of Parisian brand’s fall/winter 24 show (those wearing them included Sienna Miller, Kiernan Shipka, Georgia May Jagger, Pat Cleveland and more), also helped the trend along.

It seems when it comes to designer brands, the common thread for the season is putting an inch or two between us and terra firma.

It’s not great for ankles, but if you need some shopping inspiration, allow us:

Stella McCartney Elyse shoes; Chloe Maxime sandals

Dior Attitude Wedges; Gucci Ilde Loafers

Loewe Foam Clogs;   Alaia La Wedge Heels

Dries Van Noten Sandals; Gabriela Hearst Iris sandals

Celine Block Sneakers; Louis Vuitton Time out Sneakers

Givenchy Marshmallow Wedges; St Agni Slides
