Last Friday, August 12th, Zookeepers at Schonbrunn Zoo in Vienna were left in awe as they discovered one of their pandas had given birth to not one, but two babies.
The surprise came after scans showed just one cub. The zookeepers put this down to the fact that panda cubs are incredibly small – about the size of a human hand.
Vets discovered the amazing occurrence after hearing squeaks from multiple babies. They then checked camera footage which showed the new mother lovingly cradling her two newborn babies.
