Stars have begun stepping out at the Dolby Theatre for the 97th annual Academy Awards, shoping off plentying of style and sparkle for the prestigious Hollywood event.
Timothee Chalamet and Demi Moore are vying for their first Oscars as Comedian Conan O’Brien steps up for hosting duties at this year’s award.
O’Brien said he planned to mix jokes, celebrations of filmmakers and serious moments including tributes to Los Angeles as it recovers from January’s wildfires. He likely will address U.S. politics but not dwell on it, he said.

Demi Moore, favored to win best actress for “The Substance,” wore a sparkling silver Armani Privé gown with a train flowing behind her.
Zoe Saldana, a favorite to win best supporting actress for her turn in “Emilia Perez,” wore a multi-tiered maroon dress by Saint Laurent with a sparkling top and long gloves on her arms.
