Familiar to anyone who followed Phoebe, Monica, Chandler and the gang through 10 record-breaking seasons, Central Perk was the setting of pivotal scenes from the show, featuring cameos by Gunther, the creepy Rachel-loving barista.
But in the flesh, the coffeehouse was in fact just a TV set.
Now, Central Perk is opening as a pop-up café in Soho, offering free cups of coffee to fans and the chance to sit on the real-life orange couch from the show. There’ll also be fan contests, live performances, and if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of Gunther.
Friends memorabilia will also be on sale.
