Balayage Has Been Reinvented – Here’s Why You Need to Try the New Service

If you thought balayage was for the summer months only then it’s time to think again as Rodney Wayne and L’OrĂ©al Professionnel have just launched a new must-try balayage service that is perfect for reinventing your tresses this coming winter.

Drawing on timeless Parisian glamour and L’OrĂ©al Professionnel’s French heritage, the new in-salon service, aptly named French Balayage, combines the sought-after balayage trend with a gloss service which is guaranteed to leave locks more lustrous than ever before. The two-step French lightening technique will not only give you the balayage effect you are after but the unique French gloss means that the finish is a beautiful, luminous colour.

The second step of the service, the French Gloss toner, comes in a covetable customisable range of milkshake-inspired shades which your Rodney Wayne colourist can custom mix to find your perfect shade. Fourteen unique shades are available and each infuses hair with serious shine. And it gets better: the toning service takes just five to 10 minutes – half the time of a standard toning service – which means you’ll have more time to enjoy your new French Balayage.

Here’s How to Create the Lipstick of Your Dreams

Every serious lipstick lover knows that great lip colour is equally as important as a great pair of shoes when it comes to accessorising. Which is why Guerlain‘s Rouge G lipstick collection changed our lives when it burst onto the beauty scene in 2018. While we were already serious fans of Guerlain’s luxurious lipstick formulations, Rouge G upped the game with its customisable cases and colours.

Rouge G returns this season with the new IT-COLOUR Collection. Eight new double-mirror cases crafted by the Parisian jeweller Lorenz Bäumerare have been added to the range.  Each stunning cases has been adorned with an eye-catching leather effect in an array of vibrant colours including emerald, deep purple, mustard and fiery red.

And then there’s the ultra-nourishing Rouge G lipstick formulation that now comes in eight new semi-matte shades. The new colours might come with a semi-matte finish but they’re nothing like traditional matte formulations that can be drying on the lips. Not only do each of the new shades come with a serious colour payoff and rich long-hold pigmentation, but they’re also infused with the hydrating properties of black cumin seed oil. The unique formulation ensures lips are soft, kissable and well hydrated right around the clock.

The new Rouge G IT-COLOUR Collection (semi-matte lipstick refill, $61 and lipstick case, $38) features 12 radiant semi-matte shades which can be mixed and matched eight double-mirror cases. The collection is available now from Smith & Caughey’s, David Jones and Ballantynes.
