Whilst sleep plays a large factor in your energy levels, fatigue can also be caused by bad eating habits. Check out our four energy-furling hacks to help pump up those energy levels throughout the day.
- Eat regularly: You’ll need to eat regularly to keep your body fuelled up. An whilst everyone’s metabolism is unique, the act of “snacking” throughout the day, could mean an added health benefit. Keep some healthy snacks on hand, like nuts or bananas, to snack in between meals or when you’re on the go.
- Don’t skip breakfast: Whilst some mornings get the better of us, it’s a good ideas to not completely miss out on the first meal of the day. Try and eat something balanced with whole grains, fruit and protein. A smoothie is a good option if you find yourself in a rush prep.
- Avoid quick fixes: While snacking on sugary snacks might give you a perfect jolt, it’s not going to help you in the long run (hello, 3pm crash).
- Eat your greens – Filled with B vitamins, magnesium and iron, green vegetables are the perfect solution to your afternoon slump. Think spinach, brussels sprouts and broccoli (the darker, the better).
