FILM REVIEW: A Single Man

'A Single Man' review, brought to you by MiNDFOOD.

Former Gucci creative director Tom Ford makes his directorial debut with the film
A Single Man, starring Colin Firth and Julianne Moore as college professor George Falconer and his friend Charley.

George is struggling with the death of his longtime partner Jim (Matthew Goode). The film, set in LA in 1962, follows George on a single day that will make him decide if there is meaning to life after Jim.

Ford’s fingerprints are all over the film in the form of slick costumes and stylish set design, however the lacklustre plot (until the final scene) is the film’s downfall.

Released February 25 (Aus) and May 6 (NZ).
