Fans plant trees in honour of the Sussexes, creating ‘Archie’s Woods’
American fans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have planted 530 trees in honour of the couple, transforming an abandoned farm in upstate New York into a forest named Archie’s Woods.

The admirers of Harry and Meghan are from the Sussex Great Forest campaign, which was created last year to celebrate the couple’s conservation work.

Campaigners originally pledged to plant 10,000 trees, but that goal has long been surpassed. More than 115,000 trees have now been planted.

The Sussexes have previously expressed their gratitude for the campaign, posting a message of thanks on their Instagram stories.

“Huge thanks to the amazing group of people who have launched the grassroots Sussex Great Forest initiative. What a special surprise!” they said.

”The aim of this project is to plant 10,000 trees around the world by donating globally and planting locally. We are so inspired! Thank you!”
