Adaption – the art of survival is the theme for the Eye on Nature 2015 wearable art competition which will be presented on stage at Auckland Botanic Gardens on March 28.
A free event, Eye on Nature, is a fun day where families can enjoy educational activities focused on nature and the environment.
Activities include forest exploration walks, a maze challenge, creating your own volcano and making bird feeders.
The wearable art competition parade will feature more than 60 innovative creations made by local primary and secondary school students from recycled materials and/or organic materials.
There’s also a native food cooking competition as well as musical and dance performances.
The event kicks off at 11am.
