Baring your body in the warmer weather is a breeze if you adopt a permanent hair removal method that lets you kiss razors goodbye forever.

With summer just around the corner, winter coats are being switched out for strappy singlets and thigh-grazing skirts. Reaching for the razor day after day or enduring painful waxing sessions in the lead-up to the warmer months can be tiresome.

For those who want a more permanent answer, laser hair removal offers a long-term solution for removing unwanted hair, explains Brandy Wehinger, Clinical Director for  Caci. “Think no more hair, smoother skin, not needing to worry about unwanted hair or hair removal and it can help to reduce ingrown hairs too,” Wehinger explains. “Laser hair removal is safe, cost-effective and achieves lasting results.”

Choosing a Laser Hair Removal Technique That’s Right For You

Of course, when it comes to laser hair removal, not all methods are created equal.  But as Caci was one of the first in the world to offer laser hair removal, you know you’re in great hands as Caci has over 25 years of experience. Caci utilises a Diode laser for their hair removal services and Wehinger explains that it is known to be one of the most effective technologies for permanent hair removal.

“The Diode laser uses a single wavelength and directly targets the hair’s pigment, the wavelength produced is also 808nm and penetrates deeper into the skin, focussing on the hair follicle – removing the hair right at the root. It also makes it safer and effective for customers with a higher Fitzpatrick skin type (darker skin tone) as it avoids targeting the skin’s melanin pigment,” she says.

The team at Caci are also dedicated to ensuring the comfort of their clients. “Most customers describe hair removal treatment as uncomfortable, rather than painful,” says Wehinger. “However the Diode laser has a cooling tip, making the treatment comfier. At Caci, we pride ourselves on performing the treatments quickly and safely, so it is over in no time.”

The Latest Technology Means the Best Results

The Diode laser also means that a wider range of hair and skin tones are able to be treated. However, Wehinger does say that best results are often experienced with darker hair. “At Caci, we treat face, neck, chest, arms, underarms, back, legs, stomach, bikini and Brazilian,” she adds.

A consultation – which is free of charge – is the first step in your Caci hair removal journey. “At Caci we have a thorough consultation to check your medical history, eligibility for treatment and of course to fully inform our customers on how the treatment works, what to expect, results that can be achieved and to answer any questions you may have,” explains Wehinger.

While the sessions can be as fast as 15 minutes, depending on the area treated, Wehinger says the best results are usually experienced after eight treatments, five or six weeks apart.

“We also offer laser hair removal treatments as a 12-month membership – just like a gym membership but for removing unwanted hair,” says Wehinger. “This membership includes a schedule of treatments to treat the hair in the treatment area when it is in the anagen – or growing –
phase of the hair growth cycle.”

Wehinger says that results tend to become apparent after the second or third treatment. “The results can be permanent and at Caci we offer a guarantee to those that are eligible to remove at least up to 80 per cent of the unwanted hair in the area being treated.” If you want to make razors and waxing strips a thing of the past, the lead-up to summer is the perfect time to start your hair removal journey. Wehinger says that while she always recommends applying an SPF30 or 50 to treated areas if they are exposed to the sun, the Caci team are there to ensure you receive the pre- and post-care information you need to make sure you achieve the best results possible.
