Drop of the Week: Kooyong Massale Pinot Noir 2014
Relax after a busy week with this juicy and warming pinot.

Located on the Mornington Peninsula at Tuerong, on Miocene sedimentary soils, the Kooyong wines are made up of parcels from both the Kooyong and Ballewindi vineyards.

The 2013-2014 harvest was below average in terms of yield, but the quality of the fruit produced was second-to-none.

This superb pinot is a welcome addition to any dinner table. The palate is a welcoming assortment of fleshy red fruit and dark, spicy tannin with a deep wild raspberry and black cherry aroma to warm you from the inside-out.

Silky, sultry and simply divine, this easy drinking pinot offers a richness and complexity on the nose and hints at Burgundian-style forest-floor aromas.

Keep this bottle open for an hour or so and taste the transformation. That’s if you are able to stop yourself from drinking it for that long.
