Dolce&Gabbana to stop using fur in its collections

Dolce&Gabbana has announced it will no longer use fur in its collections.

In a joint statement with animal rights organisation Humane Society International, the Italian house said it would discontinue the use of animal fur from this year.

Dolce&Gabbana will continue to collaborate with master furriers in the creation of eco-fur garments and accessories in order to preserve the craft and skills of these artisans.

“The entire fashion system has a significant social responsibility role that must be promoted and encouraged,” said the group’s communication and marketing officer, Fedele Usai.
