The established label is well known for its glamorous fashions, but also has popular beauty and fragrance lines too.
Now, a new addition has a surprising focus: A perfume for our canine friends.
Called ‘Fefé’ the pet-safe scent is meant to be a bit of fun according to the brand, but don’t any shortcuts in its creation compared to other top perfumes for humans. The dog-friendly scent was composed by master perfumer Emilie Coppermann, the nose behind top scents for Rabanne, Van Cleef & Arpels, Karl Lagerfeld and Givenchy.
According to Dolce & Gabbana, ‘Fefé’ the perfume was inspired by the brand’s co-founder Domenico Dolce and his “unwavering love” for his loyal companion, Fefé.
Referring to the new dog scent as an ‘olfactory masterpiece,’ it is said to feature ‘cocooning and warm notes of Ylang, a clean and enveloping touch of Musk, and the woody creamy undertones of Sandalwood’.
The new release, contained in a bold green bottle with a gold paw print, is said to be a gentle and delicate scent with an alcohol-free mist formulation tailored specifically for dogs.
To use, you are directed to spray Fefé on your hands or on a brush before rubbing or brushing your dog’s fur from the middle of the body towards the tail to give them ‘a moment of scented pampering’. Fefé can also be applied directly to the dog’s body avoiding the nose area.
Priced at €99, early purchasers of the scent also receive an exclusive Dolce & Gabbana dog collar with tag.
