Calling all chocolate lovers! Kiwi favourite, Whittaker’s, has launched their first permanent store located through customs in Auckland International Airport.
A New Zealand brand 120 years in the making, family-owned Whittaker’s remains a firm favourite for Kiwis with a sweet tooth. To boost it’s offering, the chocolate maker has opened its first store, accessible to anyone travelling internationally from Auckland.
“We are super excited to finally share the news of the opening of our first permanent shop-front. Our airport store will allow us to engage directly with Whittaker’s Chocolate Lovers, further enriching the fantastic interaction we have with them through our social channels,” says Jasmine Currie, Whittaker’s Marketing Manager. The store’s opening reflects the popularity of the chocolate with both New Zealanders, and increasingly with Whittaker’s Chocolate Lovers overseas.
The Whittaker’s store will be operated by Lagardère Travel Retail, which already operates a number of stores for high-profile New Zealand brands, showcasing the best New Zealand has to offer.
“We are constantly hearing from Whittaker’s Chocolate Lovers about the high demand for Whittaker’s from friends and family overseas. The new Whittaker’s store will be the perfect convenience for any traveller who is in need of an authentic Kiwi gift,” says Currie.
A visit to the Whittaker’s store will give Chocolate Lovers a chance to be fully immersed in Whittaker’s brand story. With interiors dressed in their signature gold, the store encapsulates Whittaker’s timeless, sophisticated style. “Customers will be able to choose from the entire Whittaker’s range, from our iconic Peanut Slab to the latest new flavours in our Destinations Collection in this exciting new space that is entirely dedicated to our Whittaker’s Chocolate Lovers,” Currie says.
