Dior has unveiled its Summer 2027 collection at Paris’s Tuileries Garden with a romantic new collection sweeping down the runway.
Rihanna, Jennifer Lawrence, Rosalia and Anya Taylor-Joy watched on as summer staples like flippy skirts, soft tailoring and floral prints were presented outdoors, on a runway that crossed a mist-shrouded pond.
Rather than taking a sharp new direction with each collection, creative director Jonathan Anderson appears to be building each season as another chapter in an unfolding story.
Larger themes such as nature’s inspiration join technical construction, skillful pleating, dimensional texture and foil-like metallics in new representations that gently evolve with each collection. Some of these have been woven across the men’s, women’s, couture and accessories, providing a fresh signature for the French luxury house.

Archival elements created by Monsieur Christian Dior are also apparent. Anderson’s respect is clear as he gracefully reminds new fans of the house founder’s enduring influence, while finding new ways to represent previous silhouettes and fine details.
Known for his magpie mentality, there is an abundance of captivating new touches and ideas, too.
This season the house attribute the change of season and weather for the lighter, more diaphanous direction. “Shifting into a summer sensibility, the collection anticipates a warm breeze: with lightness comes movement,” the show notes shared.
Overall, the effect is of ethereal elegance.
New Dior bags to know
Bag-spotters will recognise a number of familiar shapes introduced by Anderson such as the Dior Toujours Hobo, Dior Bow and Dior Cigale, but also some intriguing additions.
A new, biker-inspired bag with zipped pocket flaps has been crafted in a range of colours. A silver-finish minaudière takes the form of a wénwán walnut – a pair of which was sent to guests as the show invite (the practice of hand-rolling these nuts is a longstanding Chinese cultural tradition). Playful mesh bags are customised with fringed silk scarves or clusters of sheer georgette petals, mirroring the dresses in the collection.
Shoes are are transformed in flower-print, square-toe block heels and a new iteration of the Dior Bow Sandal, that will no doubt be a sought-after summer must-have. A Dior Cigale shoe with a petal-shaped sole also appeared.
