DIOR Fluid Stick Correction

In this month’s May edition of MiNDFOOD, ST Beauty section we wrote:

“Dior’s new Addict Fluid Sticks are a genius no-wax formulation that are billed as “not a gloss, not a lacquer, not a lipstick.” The Fluid Sticks are made with water, which, on application evaporates, leaving beads of gloss containing long-hold pigments ($39). My picks are the pinky-red Wonderland and deliciously tangerine-toned Artifice.”

We would like to advise that the correct RRP for the Dior Fluid stick is in fact AUS $50/NZ $59 and apologise for any inconvenience caused by this mistake.

Here MiNDFOOD shares more of our exclusive interview with Carolyn Murphy, Estee Lauder spokesmodel and face of the new Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy lipstick campaign.

LH: Pure Color Envy is described as a classic with a modern twist, would you describe yourself as being more classic or more modern or somewhere between the two?

CM: “I define my style as classic with a slight twist. I don’t like clothes that are fussy or too over thought but still stylish and current. My style has changed only in that I don’t have loads of time to shop, so thank goodness for Net-a- Porter!”

LH: When we spoke in the early millennium, you were really into your surfing, in fact you’d just spent a long period living and surfing in Costa Rica. Do you still get out in the waves much?

CM: “I’m not surfing as much anymore because I’m trying to stay out of the sun when possible. Recently, I’ve been hiking, horseback riding and gardening because I can wear gloves, a hat and sunblock.”

LH: What lipstick shade do you envy on other women and why?

CM: “I envy the shade of burgundy on other women, as I feel it’s too harsh on me. Looks great for photo shoots but in daily life, I feel a bit overdone. When I see a woman wearing a burgundy lip, I feel that she is daring and strong in her character.”
