De Djess: Miu Miu Tales delight
What if dresses had feelings or could move and talk? Miu Miu Tales latest film De Djess is a surreal and quirky take on the Cinderella story.

Surreal, charming and quirky, the latest short-film in the series of Miu Miu Women’s Tales, De Djess, is an artistic delight.

The story belongs to a very special dress from Miu Miu’ spring/summer 2015 collection – Number 328. It’s gorgeous and emotional, shedding crystal beads as tears when it gets upset. A Cinderella tale of sorts, the dress takes the place of the glass slipper as well as the lead role and literally has a life of its own. It rejects the famous actress (played by Alba Rohrwacher) and chooses a waitress (played by Yanet Mojica).

“I felt it was right to give the lead role to a dress, and put myself inside,” says De Djess director Alice Rohrwacher.

De Djess is the ninth commission from Miu Miu Women’s Tales, an acclaimed short-film series by women who critically celebrate femininity in the 21st century.
