The French fashion house held its Spring 2027 collection presentation on a rocky Corsica cliffside marked by a historic lighthouse.
While it has previously employed clever digital imagery in its campaigns, little visual trickery could better underscore the brand’s bright and breezy aesthetic than a line of models wandering a sun-drenched path down a hill on the Mediterranean island.
Of course every detail was considered, including a row of sailboats spelling out the brand’s name in the harbour and guests including Isabelle Huppert, Manon, and Alexandra Leclerc looking on in colourful sundresses and tailored separates. The collection will also help to launch the brand’s first fragrance and beauty collection, also landing in spring 2027.
It made us dream of warm summer days and European jaunts, but the beauty of the collection is that it is just the right balance of easygoing and elevated you can wear anywhere that’s warm enough.
Signature sculptural shapes provided dramatic flair, but in crisp cotton punctuated with accessories and layering pieces in tangy brights, they felt just right for feeling great in the heat, given the continent is currently sweltering though another heatwave.
Many of the pieces moved easily across genders, with textural details and varying levels of transparency providing interesting counterpoints for the simplicity of each look.
The vibe was perfectly summed up by designer Simon Porte Jacquemus who called the collection “Le Bonheur,” or “happiness” in French. He said he conceived each look taking the inspiration of a season spent outdoors, immersed in nature.
“I imagined this collection like the summer itself,” the designer said. “The sun, the colors, the beauty of simple things, the feeling of lightness. For me, this is happiness…”
