Courteney Cox shares her regret over the ‘domino effect’ of getting facial fillers
Courteney Cox has shared about her biggest beauty regrets.

The actor spoke about some of her beauty secrets and things she would do differently on an episode of beauty-focused Gloss Angeles podcast.

When asked her biggest beauty regret was, the Friends star admitted she went too far with facial fillers.

“It’s a domino effect,” she told podcast hosts Kirbie Johnson and Sara Tan Christensen. “You don’t realise that you look a little off, so then you keep doing more, ‘cause you look normal to yourself.

“You look in the mirror and go, ‘That looks good.’ You think, and you don’t realise, what it looks like to the outside person.”

After “doing too many fillers,” the star said she “[had] to have them removed.”

“Thank God they are removable,” she continued. “I messed up a lot and now luckily … I was able to reverse most of that.  Now, I’m actually just older.””

Cox says she looks back on her past self, reflecting, “I look at pictures of me from when I thought I looked okay, and I can’t believe it.”

Injectable filler is a soft tissue filler, injected into the skin at different depths to help fill and smooth facial wrinkles, provide facial volume, and augment facial features.

Injectable filler is most commonly made gel containing hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is found naturally in the body, where its main role is to attract water and provide hydration to the skin however our levels of HA diminish as we age.

Beauty advice from Courtney Cox

Cox also shared some beauty advice on the podcast, advising listeners “Don’t pluck your eyebrows!” She revealed that she has microblading to fill hers in, musing “I could go a little thicker”.

“My daughter has the most beautiful arched eyebrows” going on to say she had implored her not to touch them.

She also drilled down on some of her favourite beauty products, including Dermalogica’s Microfoliant exfoliator, “It really cleans your skin,” she said.

Cox recently received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where she was joined by her Friends co-stars and real-life friends, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow.

The star is the last original cast member to appear in each of the Scream franchise of films, reprising her role as  Gale Weathers in the just-released sixth movie, Scream VI .

“That’s a really fun character, especially at the very beginning when she was so ruthless,” Cox recently told Variety.

“I was known from Friends and Family Ties, known as the girl next door and sweet. I had to talk to Wes Craven and write him a letter and say, ‘I know that you don’t think of me as this person, but trust me, I really can be an absolute b***h,’” she said. “It was over the top in the perfect way. You really care about the characters because they were unique, and you don’t laugh at them, you laugh with them because they’re smart. If they were dumb, they were supposed to be and they’re endearing.”
