Coronavirus outbreak: All travellers to NZ to be manually processed at border
All travellers entering New Zealand, including NZ citizens, will be manually processed amid concerns over the coronavirus outbreak.

New Zealand Customs announced on Monday morning all visitors will be processed individually and no travellers will be allowed to use eGates.

It comes after Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced New Zealand would be closing its borders to all foreign travellers from China from Monday.

All foreigners travelling from, or transiting through, mainland China will be barred from entering New Zealand for up to two weeks, with the position to be reviewed every 48 hours.

New Zealand citizens and permanent residents, and their immediate family members, will be allowed entry but will be required to quarantine themselves for 14 days.

Similar measures have been imposed in the United States and Australia, and many other countries continue to expand travel restrictions on non-citizens who have been to China.

The death toll from the novel coronavirus has now surpassed 300, with more than 14,000 infections confirmed.
