Cognac and couture collide in Hennessy’s new sneaker collab with Kim Jones
Hennessy's first collaboration with a fashion designer sees Dior Artistic Director Kim Jones create "cognac in sneaker form."

Marking the first time the iconic spirits brand has partnered with a fashion designer, the Hennessy X.O x Kim Jones collection features a limited edition HNY Low sneaker by Kim Jones that’s inspired by old-school basketball shoes and crafted from a cognac coloured nubuck leather.

“I wanted it to be elevated and chic, to reflect both the long heritage of cognac and my own design values,” says the designer, who transposed the curves of the Hennessy X.O bottle onto the sneaker. “I wanted it to feel like you’re almost looking into the bottle. It’s a glass of cognac in sneaker form.”

With a 150-year heritage, Hennessy’s long-standing legacy is celebrated with two other unique pieces created for the Kim Jones collection. The sculptural Hennessy X.O Masterpiece is a stunning decanter made from 3D printing technology, and designed “like a piece of bespoke couture for a bottle,” says Jones. Wrapping around the bottle like a sculptural second skin, the titanium casing evokes the unique technique of draping.

“We are thrilled to embark on a new odyssey blending cognac-making and couture with Kim Jones, a creative master of our time,” said Laurent Boillot, Hennessy CEO. “Inspired by the emblematic personality of Hennessy X.O, Kim has developed a resolutely contemporary collection that is destined to make an impact on culture today and in the future.”
