Discover sea life and VR dives at Wellington’s Coastal Ecology Lab open day

On Saturday, 11 March, the Coastal Ecology Laboratory in Wellington's Island Bay is welcoming visitors to discover Aotearoa's marine world. 

Running as part of Seaweek New Zealand, the open day offers an interactive opportunity for visitors of all ages to experience some fascinating marine wonders.

Discover touch tanks with local marine creatures, or try a virtual reality dive into New Zealand’s best undersea locations.

Led by experts from Victoria University of Wellington’s School of Biological Sciences, the open day offers a chance to see research equipment in action and hear from the knowledgeable researchers.

When: 10 am–3 pm, Saturday 11 March
