Clever gadgets that will make your life easier in 2023
Whether it be a sleek and stylish charging solution or a wireless device that lets you create your own personal cinema, everyday tech-makers are coming up with clever solutions to not only make our lives easier, but more fulfilling.

Samsung Freestyle projector

Perfect for camping at the beach or off-the-grid escapes, the Samsung Freestyle portable projector is the ideal entertainment companion. Lightweight, easy to use and boasting incredibly crisp picture quality and sound, this top of the line projector lets you turn any surface into your own cinema.

Designed with the ability to rotate up to 180 degrees, The Freestyle can be projected onto walls, floors, ceilings, with a clever automatic adjusting feature that gets the right angle every time. When not used for movies or TV, it can also provide ambient lighting and be used as a portable speaker.

Testing it out on a weekend getaway with Canopy Camping at Watercliff – The Getaway, the Freestyle proved the perfect device, able to be projected from the outside while relaxing in the outdoor bath. It comes with a rechargeable battery which means it can be used completely wireless, leaving it up to you to decide where to take it. One thing worth noting is that if you’re going somewhere with limited cell reception, it pays to download movies and TV shows beforehand so they’re ready to stream offline.

Canopy Camping is giving guests the chance to try the Freestyle out for themselves at six locations until 5 March 2023. The locations are Watercliff The Getaway in Tauranga, Rainsong Retreat in Waimauku, Moonlight Peak in Wairarapa, The Matchbox in Canterbury, Green Hills Chalets in Mangawhai and Fox Hut in Westport.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 11

While we easily have the ability to snap a pic these days on our smartphones, having a physical token of moments feels extra special. The Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 is the latest polaroid-style tech for capturing those big and little moments. Designed to be small and easy to use, the great thing about the Instax Mini 11 is that is as a built-in one-touch selfie lens for clear close-up shots, and automatic exposure so it captures everyone in the frame.

Finding a phone case that’s both stylish and durable can be a tricky task sometimes. Enter, Maison de Sabré’s Jelligrain silicone phone case. The Australian accessories brand has created the world’s first silicone phone case of its find that’s made from 100 per cent biocompatible silicone, made to bounce back when dropped to keep your smartphone completely protected. It’s also waterproof and has antibacterial properties, while still looking sleek and stylish.
