Christchurch Spring Fashion Festival is back for 2026.
Christchurch, get ready to get glam, as your ‘Fashion Week’ is coming back for another round.
It’s just been announced the Christchurch Spring Fashion Festival (CSFF) will return to Ōtautahi from the 15th – 18th of October.
This year, the fashion celebration has been expanded to a four-day event. It follows the successful first outing from the organisers of New Zealand Fashion Week (NZFW) in 2025, with runway shows, in-store events and presentations offering plenty of occasions to celebrate local fashion.
The 2026 event will be held in a new spot, the state-of-the-art convention centre Te Pae, locking in a number of runway presentations, with more to be announced shortly.
The highlights so far include an insider’s selection show focusing on designers bringing a vibrant new energy to NZ’s fashion scene, as well as a Spring selection show of top Kiwi labels we know and love. These include Caitlin Crisp, Kathryn Wilson, Juliette Hogan and taylor.
A popular charity fundraising runway show – Breast Cancer Cure’s Fashion for a Cure – is also part of the schedule.
The event was originally conceived to bring the energy and style of runway shows seen at NZFW, soon to get underway in Auckland, to the South Island city. Last year this was timed to make the most of the Christchurch spring racing carnival known as Cup and Show Week, but this year, the Spring Fashion Festival is finding its own time to shine.
Now being held in October, the event aligns with new season collections arriving in stores.
“The return of Christchurch Spring Fashion Festival is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the creativity, talent and innovation that exists within our city and across New Zealand’s fashion industry,” says Karena Finnie, Head of Major Events at ChristchurchNZ.
“It’s exciting to see local and South Island designers showcased alongside some of the country’s leading brands.”
