Pre-Fall collections regularly serve as transitional ranges that land around the middle of the year, after the main northern hemisphere Spring/Summer collections have had a good run in stores.
Pre-Fall collections are also usually more restrained and wearable, and provide useful pieces that serve to deliver lots of wear.
That is certainly true for Gucci, with a collection for men and women that includes easy tailoring and details that hark back to the Italian fashion house’s 70s era.
The house says ‘casual grandeur’ at the heart of Gucci’s DNA is key to the collection, as ‘feminine and masculine silhouettes share a sartorial foundation yet follow distinct paths: sensuality for women, and effortless ease for men’.
Look out for lots of GG logos and tone-on-tone pattern, bold jewellery, flat and heeled loafers and key bags, including the Jackie 1961, the Blondie and the new Gucci Softbit bag.
