Paul Cézanne is considered one of the greatest artists of all time, this major new film explores the life and art of this hugely influential French painter. 

Cézanne – Portraits of a Life is a visually beautiful documentary film based on the exhibition of Cézanne portraits currently on view at the National Portrait Gallery, London. The film features interviews with curators, art experts and his great-grandson Philippe Cézanne. Including correspondence from the artist, it successfully sheds new light on the life and work of this hugely influential artist.

Opening nationally in cinemas on 20 September, this film is by British filmmaker and art documentaries specialist, Phil Grabsky. Master of the ‘art on film’ genre, Grabsky is of Exhibitions on Screen and a multi-award winning Director who has been making documentaries for 30 years.
