Celebrating Blood Oranges

This spring celebrate the blood orange season with ‘Celebrazione dell’Arancia Rossa’ at Sydney’s Italian restaurant, Capriccio Osteria in Leichardt, from October 18 to November 18.

“Throughout this period restaurant patrons will have the chance to choose from five specialised cocktails highlighting the taste of citrus blood oranges including the signature cocktail Solerno Serata –  a combination of ruby red grapefruit juice, bitters and soda and the Sicilian 75 – freshly squeezed lemon and blood orange juice with prosecco and Solerno, the blood orange liqueur.”

Head Chef at Capriccio Osteria, Nicole Bampton says, “Throughout my years of experience with the Italian cuisine, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with blood oranges. Due to the versatility of blood oranges, they can be paired with almost any food; however I recommend black olives, scallops and fish”.
