Giorgio Armani Beauty Has a New Face and Her Name Is Cate

For many women, Cate Blanchett is the ultimate girl crush. She speaks Hindi, has a degree in economics, and would undoubtedly be the one to have your back in an argument when you desperately need reinforcement.

Turns out, we’re not the only ones who rate Cate. Announced this week, our girl is to be the latest (and greatest) global beauty ambassador for Giorgio Armani Beauty. Seeing as she is already the face of Giorgio Armani Sí and Sí Passione it seems only natural that she would add skincare and make-up to her glowing Armani portfolio.

Armani himself had more than a few good things to say about the actress, describing her as, “Luminous and sophisticated, her natural elegance and distinguished beauty are striking,” Leading up to this appointment Cate was serving as president of the jury at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival as well as making a plethora of highly anticipated upcoming films, including Ocean’s 8, so it’s no wonder that this multi-talented powerhouse was chosen for this new role.

The only thing that could make this news any better is the recent announcement that Giorgio Armani beauty will soon be making its way to New Zealand counters. Not only will Cate’s face be everywhere but you will also be able to purchase their amazing range of beauty and skin products. Find out the exciting details here.

Our Favourite Moments From The Royal Wedding

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding held countless beautiful moments. We round up nine of the best from the wedding of the year. Which is your favourite?

The brother’s walk

Prince Harry and his best man, big brother Prince William, chose to walk through the castle grounds on the way to the chapel. It’s no surprise that the crowds went wild, with the royal brothers looking extra dapper in their official regalia. Perhaps the best part of their long walk was the private words they shared along the way.

Princess Charlotte’s adorable wave

As usual, the royal children came close to stealing the show. While Prince George looked very sweet holding hands with a fellow pageboy as he walked up the aisle, Princess Charlotte outshone her big brother. The three-year-old couldn’t get enough of the crowds, excitedly waving as she held mother Kate Middleton’s hand – much like she did when Prince William brought her to see baby Prince Louis.

Queen Elizabeth’s lime green outfit

Not to be outshone, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was a vision in one of her classic vibrant ensembles. The Queen chose bright green for the special occasion and completed the look with white gloves and a dazzling brooch.

Prince Charles walking Meghan down the aisle

The world felt for Meghan when it was announced that her father wouldn’t be attending the royal wedding less than a week before she was set to tie the knot with Prince Harry. Thankfully, Prince Charles stepped in to walk her down the aisle – a special moment for Meghan and her future father-in-law.

The cello performance

When nineteen-year-old cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason began to play, it immediately became clear that the guests of the royal wedding were in the hands of an expert. Prince Harry had seen the young musician play at a charity event in 2017, and Meghan herself called Kanneh-Mason to ask if he would perform at the wedding. He played three pieces – Paradis’ Sicilienne, Faure’s Apres un reve, and Schubert’s Ave Maria – the last of which was a specific request from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The first kiss

Perhaps the ultimate moment from the entire royal wedding is that spontaneous first kiss between the newlyweds. Prince Harry took Meghan by surprise with a kiss outside the chapel entrance, captured perfectly on camera.

Exiting the chapel

When the newlyweds descended the chapel stairs, followed by the royal family, the excitement of the day’s events was highlighted. It was hard not to find the royal couple’s happiness infectious – smiles all round!

The carriage ride

The newlywed’s carriage ride through Windsor gave members of the public that had been waiting outside a chance to see the happy couple in their wedding attire. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle looked thrilled as they waved to the crowds.

The post-wedding celebrations

Departing Windsor Castle for their reception at Frogmore House, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex looked stunning. Meghan was radiant in an elegant Stella McCartney gown, while husband Prince Harry looked incredibly handsome with a bowtie.
