For the Dog That Loves Cashmere

If your pooch loves cashmere as much as we do, we have good news.

Elle + Riley are launching a collaboration with Bridge Bully Rescue, and in doing so, have created a limited run of 100% cashmere dog sweaters, available exclusively in their Ponsonby and online store.

Named, ‘The Clooney Dog Sweater’, this snuggly puppy present comes in red and grey and retails at $169, with 100% of the profits going to the organisation.

If you haven’t heard of Bridge Bully Rescue before, it’s high time you were educated. Bridge Bully Rescue is an organisation dedicated to bridging the gap and raising awareness about bully breed dogs, and how they can be amazing family dogs. Bridge Bully rescues neglected bully breed pups from the wider Auckland area, ensuring that these animals grow up to become loved, family dogs. They even do all the necessary work (de-sexing, vaccinate, microchip, NZCAR registration, de-flea and de-worming) and then place them into well-vetted, forever-homes nationwide.

Basically, Bridge Bully Rescue needs your help. They are entirely self-funded and rely heavily on donations, foster parents and a little extra help from Paw Justice. They’re currently in expansion mode – with their goal to have a purpose-built area for up to 30 puppies, including an isolation unit for pups that are unwell and have special needs.

This little initiative couldn’t come at a better time for either Bridge Bully Rescue or your doggo-friend. Kill two birds with one stone; make a donation and earn your pup a little street cred while doing so.

Join Caci in Supporting Dress for Success

Next week, from July 23rd – July 29th, Caci clinics nationwide are doing something very special. They are swapping handbags for facials in support of Dress for Success.

We’ve all got a handbag that has taken a backseat. So why not dig it out of your wardrobe and swap it for a little TLC for your face?

All you have to do is take a look inside your wardrobe (and your heart) and find any spare, new or gently used handbags and fill them/it with any accessories you might have (think tights, jewellery, makeup, toiletries, belts, scarves and socks). Just make sure the handbag is suitable for a job interview (no clutches or canvas totes). After that, all that’s left to do is bring it into your nearest Caci clinic and swap it for a 30-minute facial voucher.

Dress for Success helps women achieve economic independence by helping them back into the workforce. As part of their wraparound service, Dress for Success volunteers equip women with a complete outfit ahead of their job interview. But they are short on handbags and accessories. This is where Caci comes into the picture. Last year they donated over 1000 handbags, which was enough to last Dress for Success for the whole year.

Being a business driven by women, Caci clinic is proud to support Dress for success in their mission to empower women back into work.
