Can’t wait for season three of ‘Bridgerton’? Read the books
If you simply can’t hold out for season two of Bridgerton on Netflix, there’s an easy way to get instant gratification.

The books from the series are ready and waiting to be devoured!

The Bridgerton series by American author Julia Quinn comprises eight novels and two novellas.

The books follow each of the eight children of the late Viscount Bridgerton – Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory and Hyacinth.

But that’s not all – Quinn has also penned a spin-off, the Rokesby series.

In this series of four books, we follow the aristocratic Rokesby family, close friends and neighbours of the Bridgertons.

Where the Bridgerton books are set in the early 1800s, the Rokesby series goes back in time to the late 1700s. Characters from the Bridgerton family make appearances as youngsters in the stories.

The final book in the Rokesby series, First Comes Scandal, was released in April 2020.

Quinn is quite the prolific romance author, with seven other series under her belt.

Through her books, Quinn aims to “dispel the myth that smart women don’t read (or write) romance” – so there’s no need to feel as though reading her work is simply a guilty pleasure.
