The legacy of Piper-Heidsieck is a long and fruitful one. Founded over 235 years ago, the French champagne house has become a sought after choice for wine connoisseurs in search of a premium drop.
As the official champagne of the Oscars and loved by the likes of Marie Antoinette and Marilyn Monroe, it’s no wonder Piper-Heidsieck has garnered a reputation as ‘seduction in a glass’ and adored as a champagne for any occasion.
Always innovating and evolving, Piper-Heidsieck’s latest collection sees Chief Winemaker Émilien Boutillat expressing free reign over his creative spirit, while showcasing the diversity of the terroirs, people and years of expertise.
In this ultra limited-edition HORS-SÉRIE collection, former vintages have been re-edited to create exceptionally unique cuvées.
The hero of the collection, the HORS-SÉRIE 1971 represents a conversation between the past and present, reimagining a 50-year-old champagne. “I inherited the legacy of the 1971 vintage and wanted to reinterpret it with a fresh disgorgement to be able to share it with everyone. This is a fantastic opportunity to offer a journey through time,” says Boutillat.
