‘Burberry Open Spaces’ campaign celebrates freedom

Burberry has unveiled its latest campaign, ‘Burberry Open Spaces’, an ode to freedom, exploration and the infinite possibilities of our imagination.

A pioneering spirit has been part of Burberry’s heritage since its inception, with founder Thomas Burberry inventing the gabardine fabric and creating outerwear to help people embrace the outdoors.

He is quoted as saying, “Inherent in every Burberry garment is freedom,” and that idea continues to inform the brand’s collections today.

As the world opens up again, the campaign explores this spirit through a youthful, dreamlike lens.

“Freedom allows us to be creative, to dream, to be anything or anyone,” says Burberry’s chief creative officer, Riccardo Tisci.

“Burberry, like me, has had freedom at its heart since the very beginning.

“This campaign celebrates the fearless spirit of exploration which connects us with one another and the natural world.

“It’s about pushing boundaries and pursuing endless possibilities – looking to the future and connecting us all.”

For the campaign film, Tisci collaborated on the creative and film direction with Megaforce to bring the story of four bold individuals to life, taking us on a journey set amongst the natural beauty of the British countryside.
