BROODS’ Georgia Nott reveals her five favourite albums

BROODS’ Georgia Nott reveals her five favourite albums
Which songs are on BROODS' playlist? We spoke to lead vocalist Georgia Nott about the albums she can’t get enough of.

Adult Baby, KAZU

This is a pretty experimental electronic- leaning album by lead singer of Blonde Redhead, Kazu Makino. The arrangements and her voice transport you. It’s lush but intimate and provokes a feeling of being in awe-inspiring nature. We went to see her live show and … we walked out new people.

A Seat At The Table, Solange

I think everyone should listen to this album. It’s a real gift to the world. Solange is one of my all-time favourites because she does and is everything that I think art should be. It flows in a way that demands your attention but sits with you gently, too. It’s beautifully crafted.

Make Way For Love, Marlon Williams

I can’t get enough of this album. It’s perfect. Marlon’s voice breaks your heart and makes you fall in love at the same time. Ever since it came out, we have been rinsing it. He is also incredible and captivating live. We saw him play last summer and it was one of the best shows we’d ever seen.

Lux Prima, Karen O and Danger Mouse

We’ve always been drawn to anything Danger Mouse does, so when we saw that name next to Karen O we instantly freaked out. Just as we expected, the album is insane! It inspired us a lot with Space Island. It sucks you in with an intro that could tame the wildest hearts and then eggs you to become wild again.

Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios), Kali Uchis

I am obsessed with Kali Uchis. Her voice is delicious and this album is like the best lover you’ve ever had before an extremely lavish meal. Listening to this album brings out my most confident alter ego. It’s iconic while also being a musical flex on pop music.
