In a synergy of credibility and creativity, Black Dog Brewery welcomes its latest Experimental Range, an unconventional award-winning American Brown Ale, Leroy and a NZ IPA, aptly named Shadow Soul.
Brewed in the craft beer capital of New Zealand, the pilot batch of Shadow Soul was the last drop brewed at Black Dog’s iconic Blair Street brewery in Wellington before its relocation in March this year.
Building on the success of the extremely popular Royal Mastiff collaboration with Lord Almighty, Gypsy Brewer and Founder of Lord Almighty Beer, Dan Lord has returned to Black Dog Brewery as the mastermind behind Shadow Soul which is bursting with tropical and stone fruit character and is promised to be a real crowd pleaser as we descend into the warmer months.
Drawing inspiration from across the pond with US Cascade and Amarillo hops, Leroy is a beer that is fresh, hoppy, chocolatey and not overly bitter. Leroy’s credibility speaks for itself, most recently picking up Gold at the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA) in 2017.
Transforming the way craft beer aficionados view ABAs, Adrian Klemp commented, “Leroy is a
creation that we had been perfecting for four years so when it won gold last year we knew it was too good not to share.”
The new range will be available nationwide from early September at Black Dog’s new Cuba Street kennel, selected liquor stores and supermarkets as well as on tap in key accounts across the country.
Craft beer enthusiasts will need to get in quick as the two limited-edition brews are only available
while stock lasts.
Leroy and Shadow Soul are available at all good liquor and grocery stores nationwide from early September.
