The “Cowboy Carter” artist has just added another string to her considerable bow, dipping into the whisky business to create SirDavis.
A Japanese whisky enthusiast over the years, the superstar has linked up with Moët Hennessy on the drop, and hosted a star-studded launch during Paris Fashion Week to mark the new arrival.
Donning a glimmering gold sequin Gucci dress and shiny platform heels to host a chic dinner and cocktail party, she even kept to the theme with her manicure. She shared a close-up of a fingernail with glittering bronze polish adorned with a gold horse, akin to the logo on the SirDavis Whiskey.
Her hair was styled into a Marilyn monroe-esque, voluminous blonde bob.
Beyoncé accessorised her look with a custom 3D-printed crystallised bag, made to look like her Sir Davis whiskey bottle. Created by high-end jewelry brand CHRISHABANA, it was painstakingly hand crystallised with approximately 12,000 Swarovski crystals.
On the SirDavis website, the singer and entrepreneur, who also has a haircare line called Cécred, says whisky has been her drink of choice for years. She says she was attracted not only by its “sophisticated taste, but also by the inherent sense of strength and confidence it inspires.”
Beyoncé has worked with Moët Hennessy and renowned Master Distiller, Dr. Bill Lumsden to create the whiskey. The brand is named for Beyoncé’s paternal great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, a farmer and moonshiner in the American South during Prohibition.
The new drop promises the complexity of rye, married with the elegance of malted barley. Finished “to perfection” in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, it offers a “harmony of spice with sublime hints of fruit”.
