On Father’s Day, Sandy Seibold and her daughter Saige made a heartbreaking visit to the grave of the man they had buried earlier in the year.
Johnny, Sandy’s husband and father to Saige, had passed away in May at the age of 43, to pancreatic cancer.
To commemorate the first Father’s Day that Saige was without her dad, the family released a balloon carrying a heartwarming letter that eulogised her father and asked for anyone who found the letter, to return it to them.
Saige and her mother then made the 50km journey back home. When they arrived, Saige immediately recognised the balloon that they had just released at her father’s gravesite, entangled on the fence of their property.
The balloon had landed in the very field that Saige and her father used to work together.
The pair told local news station KFOR that they felt the balloon had made it back to them for a reason.
“What are the chances? We felt it was a sign from my husband to let us know he was OK and to quit worrying about him.”
