Candlelight vigils were held overnight outside Indonesian consulates around Australia as Australian Bali nine duo Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran faced death by firing squad.
The pair were among a group of eight prisoners who were executed. One woman, Mary Jane Veloso from the Philippines, was spared after her alleged recruiter turned herself into police.
The reformed drug smugglers faced their fate bravely and compassionately, comforting loved ones as they said their final farewells.
Sukumaran leaves behind a trail of extraordinary art, four pieces of which he painted on his last full night on earth which included a self portrait and a picture of a heart.
