A new 'Bridgerton' lead has been revealed by Netflix for the show's fourth season, and she's a rising Aussie star.

Yerin Ha will play Sophie Baek in the upcoming season, a maid with a Cinderella-esque story arc.

“Sophie Baek has been forced to spend much of her life working as a maid for the most demanding employer in the ton,” Netflix revealed.

“But the resourceful Sophie always finds a way to persevere through her circumstances – circumstances which will drastically change after she disguises herself to attend Violet Bridgerton’s masquerade ball and meets Benedict Bridgerton.”

Sydney-born Ha is best known for starring in Paramount+’s HALO, which was executive-produced by Steven Spielberg, and will next be seen in HBO series DUNE: PROPHECY.

On stage, Ha has starred in Sydney Theatre Company’s LORD OF THE FLIES alongside Mia Wasikowska. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting, majoring in Musical Theatre from Sydney’s National Institute of Dramatic Art.

The fourth season of Bridgerton turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict (Luke Thompson).

Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down – until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.
