As she celebrates her 83rd birthday, Martha Stewart's skin experts reveal the products and treatments she relies on.

Martha Stewart has been garnering plenty of attention this week, attending the Olympics in Paris with her friend, rapper Snoop Dogg.

The entrepreneur, television personality and author has been spotted at the Games, as well as spending time with stars like Serena Williams and Lewis Hamilton.

While in the City of Light, Stewart also marked her 83 birthday, sharing dinner with friends at Lapérouse and enjoying a stunning birthday cake baked by famed French pastry chef Cédric Grolet.

She also shared a photo of herself on Instagram taken at the Palace of Versailles during a tour of the historic location.

As a big fan of social media, she regularly receives glowing praise from fans, not only for her youthful energy but also her glowing, healthy-looking skin.

Now, to mark her birthday, Stewart’s go-to skin experts have shared with Vogue exactly how the star keeps her skin in such great shape.

Her routine is detailed with every product she uses, the secrets lying in a custom-made serum, diligent sunscreen use, and yes, a little bit of Botox.

According to Vogue, Stewart works with two New York City-based dermatologists, Dhaval Bhanusali, MD, board-certified dermatologist and founder of Hudson Dermatology and Laser Surgery, who has fine-tuned the skincare routine she sticks to, and Daniel Belkin, MD, board-certified dermatologist at New York Dermatology Group, who she sees for aesthetic treatments.

Martha’s skincare routine

Bhanusali says Stewart sticks to a fairly straight-forward day-to-day skincare routine that tends to be the same each day.

She uses a daily morning sheet mask, Cle de Peau’s Intensive Eye Contour Cream, Alastin HydraTint Pro Mineral Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 36 on her face, neck, decolleté, and body, and a Mario Badescu Facial Spray throughout the day to calm the skin.

The real star power in her routine however, is a serum, custom-made by Bhanusali that addresses the current needs of her skin, including addressing skin challenges like wrinkles and sun damage.

Stewart does tend to stay away from exfoliants according to the expert.

Though she sticks to the routine set for her, Bhanusali says Stewart is interested in skincare and its ingredients. “She loves seeing studies of skincare products [and] we actually talk about studies quite a bit,” he says. “We look at a host of ingredients—most of which are hydrating and nourishing—and continue to work with her to find the right balances.”

Finally, and crucially, Stewart always applies SPF on her face, chest, back of her hands to protect her skin.

Martha’s skin treatments

As for aesthetic treatments, Belkin reveals it helps that Stewart has great skin, but he uses neuromodulators on her neck and jaw to get a lifting and tightening effect and opts for biostimulatory fillers to give her cheeks and jaw needed volume. Biostimulatory fillers prompt skin to work harder at making its own collagen, rather than adding extra volume.

He says she does get a small bit of Botox around her eyes, steering clear of her brows, revealing a past application resulted in giving her too high of an arch. She also has hyaluronic acid filler to plump her lips.

For a smooth texture, clear tone and to improve sun damage, Stewart will have non-ablative fractionated laser treatments occasionally and in the past has had energy-based therapies such as Ulthera and SofWave.

While she is careful and dedicated about looking after her skin, the star has been open about the importance a good healthy diet (and a daily green juice full of nutrients) plays, and her skin experts also underlined this detail.

This northern fall, Stewart is set to release her 100th cookbook, simply titled Martha: The Cookbook and featuring 100 of her favorite recipes.
