Anonymous Art Fundraiser for the Cancer Society

Anonymous Art
Will you uncover an anonymous masterpiece?
For local Queenstowner Sam Paardekooper, giving back is more than a tradition—it’s a heartfelt tribute.

Inspired by the legacy of his granddad and dad, who raised significant funds for charity but were both taken too soon by cancer, Sam has collaborated with artists from across New Zealand, Australia and the US, to create an Anonymous Art Fundraiser.

Each artist has generously donated a painting for the cause. The twist? The identities of the artists behind each piece remain anonymous until after all paintings have found their homes.

There are 19 paintings in total. Supporters can purchase an ‘Anonymous Art’ ticket through the fundraiser website to secure their piece. Although for those in the know, they may be able to pair the artist with the paintings.

And to ensure everyone gets a chance at these incredible pieces of art, and to support the Cancer Society, the final piece will be drawn in a raffle, with tickets costing only $10 or 6 for $50.

How the Fundraiser Works:

  • Raffle Tickets: Buy a $10 ticket (or six for $50) for a chance to win a painting, or invest in a $1,500 ticket to guarantee you’ll take home a randomly assigned piece.
  • Share the Cause: Spread the word to help raise awareness and encourage participation.

Every dollar raised—whether through auctions or raffles—will go directly to the Cancer Society, supporting life-saving care and research.
