Adopted Racoon thinks she’s a dog
When Rosie Kemp found this racoon in her backyard, she never thought it would become a part of her family.

Last year Rosie Kemp discovered a frightened and damaged baby racoon in her backyard. The baby had seemingly fallen out of the tree, and with no mother in sight, Kemp took it upon herself to care for the racoon until it was well enough to be released into the wild.

But as time progressed, she realised that the baby had turned into a vital and beautiful part of her family and was in no way interested in returning to the wild.

Named Pumpkin, the baby eventually recovered from her injuries and moved in permanently with the Kemp family.

“She instantly bonded with us and our two rescue dogs and follows me and our two dogs everywhere we go,” Young told The Dodo. “She now think’s she is a dog… she is able to play and be rough with them and she respects when they have had enough.”
