Adele fans will be upset to hear the star has no plans for new music anytime soon.

The singer – who is currently performing in Europe for the first time in eight years and is due to resume her Las Vegas residency in October for a month – plans to take some time off once her live shows end.

“I don’t have any plans for new music, at all,” the singer told German broadcaster ZDF.

“I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while.”

Adele has been performing her ‘Weekends With Adele’ residency in Las Vegas since November 2022, with the final performance scheduled for 23 November.

Before her last month in Vegas, Adele is performing a special series of shows in Munich in August.

The shows will take place in “an open-air environment that has been exclusively created for these special shows”, according to a press release.

“The bespoke arena will feature a combination of seated grandstands and standing areas with capacity for 80,000 people per night.”

The star said she was “too curious to no follow up” when she was asked if she would be interested in the summer run of shows.

“I couldn’t think of a more wonderful way to spend my summer and end this beautiful phase of my life and career with shows closer to home during such an exciting summer,” she said.
