On Saturday, Adele posted an Instagram photo in tribute to Beyoncé and her new visual album, Black Is King. In the photo, Adele wears a shirt that matches Beyoncé’s outfit pictured onscreen, as she gestures toward her. “Thank you Queen for always making us all feel so loved through your art ♥️♥️,” she wrote.
The outfit was from Marine Serre, a French fashion designer who won the 2017 LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers.
Based on the music of last summer’s “The Lion King: The Gift,” the 85-minute film is billed as “a celebratory memoir for the world on the Black experience.”
Written, directed and executive-produced by the 38-year-old pop superstar, Black Is King features cameos from the likes of her Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland, Lupita Nyong’o, Naomi Campbell, Jay-Z and even Blue Ivy.
