In recent months, the Happy Gilmore star has built up a following for his laid-back fashion style, with some Gen Z fans even labelling his looks as “Sandlercore”.
Discussing his outfits in a video recently shared to TikTok by Mystery Fashionist, Adam admitted “most people make fun of me in my family” for his sartorial choices.
“It just happens, I didn’t really think it through. There’s some sneakers, there’s some goofy shorts,” he said, gesturing to his bright blue and green shoes and blue printed basketball shorts.
Insisting “not much thought” goes into his outfits, Adam simply “grabs” whatever is closest to him in his wardrobe.
“Whatever is in the closet I grab it. I think I got a bunch of the same socks, underwear is kinda similar too,” the 57-year-old smiled. “I grab it, I don’t think about it much. Most people make fun of me in my family, but I keep moving.”
Elsewhere in the video, Adam listed socks, sneakers, and “goofy” shirts as his go-to items.
“Sneakers that fit,” he declared. “It don’t matter if they’re dirty or not, as long as they’re fitting and not hurting.”
In a previous interview for People, Adam insisted he didn’t set out to be a fashion influencer.
“You know, this is an accidental thing,” he laughed. “But here I am wearing goofy clothes, and I don’t know. I don’t think about it.”
