A boutique gin garden bar is opening on Waiheke Island this weekend
Celebrate New Zealand Gin day sipping cocktails on Waiheke Island's very first gin distillery.

A bold new gin-maker has arrived on the scene on Waiheke Island.

Coinciding with the first official New Zealand Gin Day on Saturday 23 January, Waiheke Distilling Co. is launching with a Summer Series celebration.

Nestled above the island’s Cowes Bay with breathtaking ocean views, the Waiheke gin bar lets visitors sample delicious cocktails in their delightful garden bar.

Waiheke Distilling Co. will be showcasing three of their premium gins; The Spirit of Waiheke, a classic dry gin, the cherry-infused Red Ruby Gin, and London Dry that boasts notes of lemon, macadamia and pink peppercorns.

The distillery is pulling out all the stops for their opening day, partnering with Fever-Tree Tonic and Aperol and recruiting mixologists from award-winning cocktail bar, The Clipper, to create a bespoke frozen gin cocktail menu, along with classic G&Ts, Aperol Spritz and Prosecco.

And don’t worry if you can’t make it this weekend, Waiheke Distilling Co.’s Summer Series will be running from late January until the end of summer.
