From Harry and William to Beatrice and Eugenie, we take a look at some of the cutest school moments for the royals.
Charlotte certainly didn’t appear to be nervous about her first day of school. But that might have something to do with the fact that she was accompanied by her brother, Prince George. The young princess was also accompanied by her mother, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William. The pair smiled and waved to media as their parents were greeted by the head of the lower school before they accompanied Charlotte to her classroom to meet her teacher.
Charlotte might have been all smiles as she arrived at school for the first time, but Prince George didn’t appear quite so rapt with the idea when he attended Thomas’s Battersea for his first day back in September 2017. The young prince was accompanied by his father. The Duchess of Cambridge, however, was unable to attend as she was suffering from severe morning sickness while pregnant with Prince Louis.
The Duke and Duchess of York escorted a beaming Princess Beatrice to her first of school at St George’s in September 2000.
Prince Harry looked very dapper as he waved to well-wishers as he arrived at the prestigious Eton College. When Harry graduated in 2003 he took a gap year and travelled to Australia, where he spent time working on a cattle station.
An adorable Prince Harry grinned and waved as he prepared for his very first day at Mrs Mynor’s nursery school in Notting Hill, London back in 1987.
During his time at Eton Prince William became a member of ‘Pop’ – the school’s elected group of prefects. This photo is one of a series officially released by St James Palace to mark the Prince’s eighteenth birthday. As a member of Pop, the Prince was allowed to wear a waistcoat of his own choice and grey sponge-bag trousers.
Princess Diana watched as Prince Harry grinned eagerly at his older brother William as he prepared for his first day of Wetherby School back in 1989.
Four-year-old Princess Eugenie grinned from ear to ear as her mother the Duchess of York accompanied her to her first day of school at Upton Hall, near Windsor Castle in 1994. The young princess was also joined by her six-year-old sister.
