For centuries, mint has been enjoyed for its wonderful aroma, its great taste, and its healing power. Long known for its ability to settle a nervous stomach, fresh mint tea is a wonderful easy drink to make at home.
Serves 4
2 tsp dried lemongrass
1 tbsp dried rosebuds
(or 1 tsp rosewater)
¼ cup fresh mint leaves, torn
organic raw sugar, to taste
Put lemongrass and rosebuds in a warmed teapot. Pour in enough boiling water to fill the teapot. Add mint and cover. Allow to infuse for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Strain.
Serve hot or cold. Sweeten with a little sugar if desired.
