Pizza Margherita

When it comes to a homemade pizza you can't look past the classic Margherita variation, it will always be a crowd-pleaser.

Pizza Margherita

Pizza dough (Click here for Marty’s homemade recipe)

Tomato Paste

Fresh Basil (8-10 leaves)

1 container (ball) of Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella 

 

To assemble the pizza:

Roll out one Pizza dough ball to 30cm round then place on a peel or board covered with cornmeal so its doesn’t stick and is easy to slid off.

In the centre of the base place 1-2 tablespoons of tomato paste. Spread out in a circular motion until the base is fully covered.

Tear up the buffalo mozzarella and place around the pizza.

Slide onto your pizza stone and cook until golden, crispy and the cheese is bubbling. (about 5-7 minutes)

To Serve:

Tear up the leaves and spread around the pizza. Then a nice drizzle of your favourite Extra Virgin olive oil and season to taste.
