Japanese carmakers remember 2011 Tsunami through recycled art

Japanese automobile manufacturers turn cars damaged in the March 11, 2011 tsunami into art.

Fourteen Japanese carmakers have teamed up to build the symbolic work of art, which is made out of scrap metal from cars that had been swept into fields by the tsunami.

It’s modeled after the lone pine tree that survived the March 11 tsunami that swept away more than 60,000 other trees as well as countless lives.
