Bali celebrates the year of the rabbit

By MiNDFOOD

The humble rabbit has its chance to shine this year and we've discovered a Bali retreat that is helping the cause.

Known as a pest and nuisance by farmers across Australia and New Zealand, the humble rabbit has its chance to shine this year.  February 3 marks the Chinese New Year, and according to the Chinese zodiac, it’s the year of the rabbit.

Those born in 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, and 2011 fall under the sign and are known for their thoughtful, calm, charismatic and persistent natures.

The year of the rabbit is set to be one of prosperity, peace and luck, particularly for those born under the rabbit sign.

To celebrate the Chinese New Year Uma Ubud, a forest retreat in Ubud, Bali has great deals for those born under the rabbit sign and their lucky friends.

Between February 1 – 28, the hotel is offering a two night package including breakfast, a two course lunch at the hotel’s Kemiri Restaurant, a 60-minute massage at COMO Shambhala Retreat and private return airport transfer from AUD$643.

For those wishing to stay longer, Uma Ubud is offering a three-night package including an additional three-hour guided private tour of Ubud that is priced from AUD$990 for a Terrace Room, per room, per package based on two people sharing.

A weekend in Bali certainly sounds like a nice way to give off your year of prosperity, peace and luck.
